Claimed LHP Chris Seddon from Tampa Bay and optioned him to Double-A Carolina;
Reinstated RHP Carlos Martinez from the 15-day disabled list, and optioned him
to Double-A Carolina.

OF John Gall cleared waivers and was outrighted to
Triple-A Albuquerque.  In three games Gall registered 5 plate appearances going 0 for 3  with one strikeout.  Gall is a career .245 hitter in 33 games, 30 of them with the Cards in 2005 and 2006.
